AT&T Unlimited Data $20.00 Per Month

If anybody here is looking for mobile internet, AT&T recently announced that you can get the ZTE Mobely and get unlimited data in their vehicle for $20.00 per month. I didn't realize this until recently, but since most vehicles have the OBD-II port, this ZTE Mobely simply plugs into that for 12 volt power.

interesting device!

It looks like you can power it while out of the car... so $20 for an unlimited internet hotspot!

Thanks!

Yeash !

Not to mention the humming noise heard overhead.

I just went to AT&T

I just went to AT&T's site, for the $20, you only get 1GB of data. They mention you get unlimited data on AT&T's Hotspot network so where ever they have WiFi hotspots you can connect for free but it's not through that device.

Not in Canada

Sure won't see an offer like that in Canada. We continue to get hosed up here in the great white North. (great green north in some places like Southern Ontario)

There is no such thing as unlimited mobile broadband in the USA. Here's what it says:

AT&T Connected Car Unlimited Plan: U.S. only. Consumer and Individual Responsibility Users only. Eligibility: Requires eligible vehicle, eligible aftermarket device and new or existing AT&T wireless account. Data Restrictions: After 22GB of data usage on vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot in a bill cycle, for the rest of the cycle AT&T may slow data speeds on vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot during periods of network congestion.

Location dependant?

Maybe it's location dependent. I just went there again and it doesn't give me an unlimited option for that device. 1GB for $20/month or 3GB for $30/month + $10/GB for average for either plan. It's definitely not an AT&T preferred area.

Read through the Howard Forums posts. Some others have also had problems, they pretty much had to tell the clerks exactly where and how to look and find this. If it doesn't work at AT&T, try Best and Buy, and vice versa.

AT&T Unlimited Data $20.00 Per Month

I tried to order this online yesterday, but had no luck. Then, I tried over the telephone, but the clerk could not find this. Finally, I printed out an article referenced below and drove to my local corporate AT&T store. I am absolutely certain that had I not brought along a copy of that article, the AT&T store would not have been able to find this.

Went looking at Smart Phones today

Wife and I still Motorola Flip Phones, Tracfones, $99 per year. Heck, they want about $99 per month for I-Phone, guess we will keep Flipping

Tracfone.

@windwalker. I have a LG Android smart phone through Tracfone. I only paid $60 for the phone and spend about $100 per year for minutes, texts and data. It works great with Garmin Smartphone Link on my 3597 nuvi.

that's a really good price!

Guess I'll have to look into Tracfone's network. Thanks!

Or...

Check to see if one of their prepaid smartphones work on the network. They should.

Pop in the sim, and go. Nothing else required, except perhaps a new sim card.
