Memory full

It has been a year or so since I have been to where we ride our toys in the desert. Not sure on which last map update but lots more color and details now. But several times on the GPS, up pops 'memory full'. WHAT?? Not sure what that means. I do have lots of space on internal memory and on the SD card. Any ideas?

Thanks craig. I reviewed the two items you posted. 1450 was showing 'memory full' and 'way points full'. At the same time it would not show the track I should take to get to a waypoint and home screen showed a bunch of repeat gibberish. At that time, I looked at the waypoints on current trip and found there was a duplicate and deleated it. GPS was good to go then.
Today in Basecamp, I deleated a lot of tracks when it was showing SD card. Does that take them off GPS SD card? Unhooked GPS, and started to delete several waypoints. Where to,made selection,before selecting GO,click 'press for more' and it would take 10seconds to get to delete screen. Everything real slow. Looked at GPS and the SD card was sticking out very slightly. Turned off unit fixed it and now it is fast in deleating items. All these items are on SD card. Could that have been part of my problem?

Memory Full
Maybe not the same.. but I've had to delete the existing map on my GPS when I was updating to the latest Map.
The Map uploader would tell me that I didn't have enough room on my map to load the entire map.
I was good to go after I deleted the existing map and associated files.
