Memory full message

I have a nuvi 2595lmt. Recently I have been getting a memory full message on the screen, and when I try to add another waypoint to my favorites I get the same message. Plugging into the computer shows I have 2 gig free on the device. I also have a 1 gig memory card installed that has nothing on it. I'm not sure what to delete or move to free up space. Most of the posts I read are from people trying to install maps. I installed latest update with no problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

One thing you can check is how many Favorites/Saved Places you have on the Nuvi. It probably has a 1000 entry limit and attempting to add additional Favorites may produce this message.
I can't think of any other reason why you would be getting this message. It appears to be a message related to physical memory and not a lack of internal storage space. The only time I've seen this is when I attempt to create a very long involved route and the Nuvi runs out of physical RAM memory before it can completing calculate the route.
In your case I don't think deleting files will address your problem.

maximum limit of 1,000 Waypoints/favorites/locations
The 2595LMT has a maximum limit of 1,000 Waypoints/favorites/locations.

If you have reached that number you would get the message when trying to add another waypoint.

Is the message 'Memory Full' or 'Waypoint Memory Full'?
They are 2 different issues.
The 2nd one you would get if you tried to exceed the 1000 waypoint limit.
The 1st one would be if the units memory is low.

Tried to make a route of about 3,200 miles. Got the not enough memory message. I only had a total of 35 waypoints on the GPS. It must be something to do with the " hidden waypoints" the GPS uses in setting up a route.
Talking to Garmin I was told that I can not do a 3,200 mile route but it would have to be done in smaller sections. In other words according to GARMIN, finish DRIVING about 1,00 miles then make another 1,000 mile route and so on.

Two different issues. The OP is getting a memory full message (probably due to the number of favorites stored) and in your example the Nuvi has run out of memory trying to calculate a route. In your case the memory isn't "full" it's all used up.
