City Navigator 2015.30 North America has been released.
LETS USE THIS THREAD TO DISCUSS THIS MAP UPDATE AND NOT THE ONE THAT HAS BEEN OPEN FOR A FEW WEEKS MOSTLY MAKING JOKES ABOUT WHEN THE MAP UPDATE WOULD BE RELEASED. That old thread is called City Navigator North America NT 2015.30 and can be found at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/43223

Got it downloaded and really hadnt been anywhere to try it.. i am assuming it works ok.. bbuttttt... never know.

surprisingly timely update
Most of the comments here seem to be about the mechanics of the update process, rather than the updated data obtained.
I have a happy data surprise to report.
Background: Here in Albuquerque there is a $90 million interstate intersection reconstruction project in an advanced state of progress, with traffic currently intended to be on the final elements within a few weeks, but no traffic yet flowing on the new flyover which is the largest single element of the project.
I was happily surprised, when approaching the intersection from my home a couple of days after loading the 2015.30 update that my GPS was advising me to take a cloverleaf path to reach the interstate southbound. This was a path which did not exist in the previous design of the intersection, and while a temporary leaf of somewhat similar path had been used for diversion traffic for some months, the routing on my GPS screen seems to be for the final leaf--which had only been built and opened for traffic a few weeks earlier.
2015.30 does not show the new flyover--which is almost entirely built but is not yet in service.
I've always assumed there to be a considerable pipeline delay of data preparation and approval between input to Navteq, (now Here, I guess), transfer to Garmin, and final map info to us. This change showed up so early that I wonder if perhaps it started through the pipeline on the basis of the plan and schedule, when the bit of road itself did not yet exist.

Just took a trip...
...and I noticed no problems with the update. I did notice a couple of new streets that have been added since the last update. I am still waiting on a couple of street name changes, but I figure it could take a couple of years before these things get changed even though I have reported them to here.com.

Probably a question of Priority

Well it's probably a priority to get the BIG changes updated first, because that will affect the most users. I know that there must be some pipeline from the state DOTs that has existed for some time, because Rand-McNally always had "Proposed" major highways shown on their maps (in their Atlas) sometimes years before the road would open. Find an old atlas from around 1970 and check out I-95 from D.C. to Miami FL. Lots of "proposed" and "Under Construction" along the way. Yes, I was driving then!
Changes like a new street in a sub-division or a POI have a lower priority I'm sure.

Nuvi 50 update (lower 49 states)
Using Garmin Express and the clone method got the 2015.30 map update to work. First try only got the JCV file and txt files. Second try got gmapprom files in the sys folder. Renamed to gmapsupp and moved to Garmin folder on the sd card. All tests worked well.

is what you get when you select device & computer. The nuMaps file is the computer file that works with Basecamp.
I just downloaded and installed on my 2460LMT. It took about 30 minutes total.
Larger JCV file
OK sorry if someone asked this but I'm never updated my jcv file on my Nuvi 2595LMT
I just updated my map to 2015.30 and looked at my jcv and it is D3191150A.jcv and is 490MB which seem to have updated today with the new map. but still 490MB.
The new one is D3060160A.jcv is 814MB.
Is full screen better or should I just use the old half screen?
Out of 8GB onboard I have 2.5 GB free
Now my dumb question is if I replace the jcv with the new larger one s it really worth it? or should I just keep the old file.
Thanks and have a great holiday All!

RE: Larger JCV file
It's really your choice. The half screen stays up till you are through the intersection, the full screen shows for about 15 seconds and then it is gone, gone, gone.

The best summary of choice of jcv files here is in jgermann's Glossary, scrolling down alphabetically to the two entries for Junction View:
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/37552
You can always try the large junction view file (manually download and manually copy to your nuvi while disabling your default split-screen file) and if you decide you don't like it, you can delete the large file and re-enable the split-screen file. Boiler-plate warnings remain: have a backup of your nuvi made before tinkering with internal files, etc., etc.
(Long story short—if I were you, I'd stick with what you have now, the default split-screen JCV file.)
Looks like its safe
I am going to try it.
Garmin has once again released a terrible update.
I did an update of the new map to my LMT2460 just before taking a short trip. While the map updated fine, and the map seems to work relatively well on the GPS, since the update, the voice is pretty hit or miss. The audio guidance worked just fine before the update, and now it works some of the time, but mostly does not. Has anyone else had this issue since the upgrade, especially with a 2460 unit? I am considering at this point to go back to last years maps, as they worked much better in all regards that the newer maps.
@newjade
Sometimes, things like this can be corrected by doing a Master Reset (aka hard reset).

reverting may not help

While the problems you cite may have cropped up at the time of the map install, some are surely not actually due to the maps themselves, so there is little assurance that going to a previous map will help you.

Now I know
I updated this past weekend both my 255W using the new Map Updater version 3.3.4 with Alandb clone method and perfection from the beginning to the end.
I didn't see the box that asks if I want to keep the files on my computer in order to update a second unit but I may well have just missed or didn't see it.
I subscribed a few years ago in my Gamin account for Garmin to advise me via email when there's something new for the automotive division and when there's a new map update. I must also state that I never log into my account as I have no reason to.
I recieved two emails from Garmin concerning their Cyber Monday deals but never got one for the 2015.30 update that has now been out for a month. No big deal but now at least I know what their priorities are.

Update on Garmin Map Update Voice Guidance Issue.
Just to make sure that the issue that I was having with the lack of voice guidance since I did the map update, I did do a hard reset on the unit, with absolutely no change. I then wondered if Garmin had somehow changed their maps where you could only run their map on the unit. I have been running both the Garmin supplied map and the OSM map for the last year or so, testing the differences in the two. I had the OSM on an SD card, so it was pretty simple to remove the card and check the unit. It worked perfectly without the OSM map in the unit. I once again put the OSM map in the unit, and once again, there was no voice guidance. It has worked with no issues on previous map versions, so apparently Garmin is trying to make sure that you only use their supplied maps. I really wouldn't mind, if they did a better job of updating and correcting their maps, but I have found that in many instances the OSM map actually is more accurate. I guess the next step will be to remove the Garmin map and see if the voice guidance will work with just the OSM map installed.
One question

When you have the SD card with the OSM map installed, have you tried to check for voice guidance with the OSM map both checked and unchecked? Go to your 2460's myMaps and try it with only the Garmin map checked and the OSM map unchecked.
Since voice guidance comes from Garmin I would be more than shocked if you had any voice guidance with only the OSM map.

news
Just did some further
Just did some further testing and routes that I reported to NavTeq back in 2011 are still missing and simply wrong. I still love the dead end sign on the Garmin route to Costco in Fargo, ND that someone painted a not on saying...
NOT COSTCO!!!!

Are you saying that routing to Costco in Fargo is wrong?
Final update on the update issue with OSM Maps installed
I just wanted to let anyone that is interested know that I finally got around to testing the OSM map by itself, with the Garmin map disabled, and the voice guidance worked just like it is supposed to. I know that there was comments made to the comtrary, so I thought that I would clarify this issue. With this new update, the voice guidance will not work properly if you have an OSM map installed either on the unit itself or an SD card. I haven't tried with the CenRut map yet. Even though this has worked on previous versions, now you must have either one or the other installed ( or at least enabled ) in order for the voice guidance to work properly on the LMT2460 unit. I can not say with certainty that this is the case with other models, but I can say that it will not work on this version. I would be curious if anyone else with a different unit has tried this same thing, and what results that they had had. It could be that it is something unique to this particular model. At any rate, now that I know what the issue is, it is not a big issue to deal with.
Installed on 1390T and 2495LMT
Just installed this map on a 1390T and a 2495LMT using Garmin Express. Have the large JCV file installed on the 1390T. Both are working just fine.
Thanks guys for posting the link for the large JCV file.
Garmin map updater not giving me latest updates
I have a Garmin 60CX with Lifetime Updates for both North America and Europe. I ran Map Updater today (Jan 17. 2015), and it installed (on my Mac) 2014.3 of North America. I installed 2015.1 awhile ago, but for both North America and Europe the Map Updater doesn't show the latest maps. Anyone else with this issue. I guess I need to call Garmin, again. Funny, but Garmin Express USED TO work with my 60CX, and give me the latest updates, and the Garmin website says to use Garmin Express with the 60CX, but while Express recognizes the 60CX, it says to download Garmin Map Updater, which then gives me the old maps.
Route to Costco Fargo is wrong
The Garmin is absolutely wrong. Garmin directs you to the wrong off-ramp from I94 and takes you into the wilderness.
And yes, that almost laughable dead-end sign "NOT COSTCO" is still there, and the nearest gas station is pretty tired of redirecting lost Garmin souls.
Considering the Costco is a block off the I94-Veteran' Way intersection (you can see it from I94 is you cruise past the off-ramp) , this is confidence shattering in Garmin.
My 2595 ...

My 2595 gets me there correctly.
While traveling West on I-94
Take Exit 347 on right to 9th St E/Veterans Blvd
Turn left on 9th St E
Turn Right on 23rd Ave E
Arrive at Costco on right

Differents
As anyone notice any difference in the 2015.30 map?
1)When passing an intesection on the Highway now it show both entrance on both direction of the Highway.
2) Before approaching the Highway the lane color are dark red. when I enter the Highway it used to be Dark blue (the driving lane) and still red the oppised lane. now both lane the color show light blue/on my way back the color change back to dark blue(the driving lane and dark red the other side.
3) I pass a Circle K gas station. instead showing the K lettere inside a circle now it show like a softdrink cup.
And some gas station they do not show it all.(but they used to be visible in older map version
4)Sometimes I also see Some poi are show as small DOTS I am thinking that they must be some poi but who ever create the map was not sure of what they are.
For what I have been reading look like they are some gliches in this new map version? Should I keep this new one or go back to the 2015.10 version?
I made a back of the 2015.10 version.
