In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Preparing to go south
I have not use my gps for sometime other than around the city. I am preparing my things to go south ( Florida ) for 2 weeks. I am getting poi's, red-light cams and some other points I found to help along the way just in case I find time to go off track.
Last trip was up to Watsonville...
...in the Monterrey bay area for a family 50th wedding anniversary. The trusty Nuvi 765T was indispensable. Favorite feature this trip was the lifetime FM traffic. Going through LA and then up in Salinas it auto-routed us around major accident traffic jams on the freeway, saving us a TON of time and frustration. Used factory POIs for planning rest area stops, finding places to eat, impromptu sightseeing along the way (as in Gilroy and Solvang), and of course as always, for red light camera alerts. Added a new favorite for the self-pick blueberry farm we saw signs for just north of Santa Barbara right off of scenic highway 101. Great trip!

Keeping it Alive
Just got back from trip to Florida. September and still blazing hot there. Garmin 2555 LMT performed admirably. I also use a Garmin Edge 605 for cycling. Wonderful piece of equipment. Tracks most important cycling data and has full mapping capabilities. Great if you want to explore new territory without worrying about getting lost. Safe travels to all.

Trip With Garmin 2797
Couple of weeks ago i rode down to Hattiesburg Ms to the new Harbor Freight store. Garmin 2797 told me to get in the right lane at the exit but seemed a little late although i still got off on the exit. Then it told me to go right then get in the lanes on the left and as soon as i could i should make a U Turn. Wrong , Thankfully i saw the store across the parking lot. All i needed to do was turn left not make a U Turn.
Once again
Used my old 760 today for a work trip and, of course, to listen to an audio book. I won't ever upgrade to a new unit as long as this one continues to function. I'd hate to lose the audio book ability.

In July...
I made a 11 day trip to Paris, Bern and Lucerne Switzerland, and Munich Germany. As I always do, I take my old 360 with me, in fact both of them, just in case! I couldn't have done without them. The batteries last so long in those old models...love 'em!

Seattle
Flew to Seattle for a business conference, but brought the Nuvi to use in the rental car. Two blocks away from the airport, it announces "Caution, approaching a Red Light Camera!" Glad I brought my own instead of using one from the car rental place.

We went to the Crater of Diamonds in AK to see if we could find a Diamond. No luck, just found a few pieces of Glass and Quartz. The stones sparkled when the sun hit them so I was hoping for a diamond.
