Gpx and android kind of thing.

Hi there, i am looking for an app for my android phone and i am searching similar to what ios have with poiviewer.

I have found some apps that can read gpx in googleplay but i have not find anyone with an connection for the navigator.

So what i want is an app that can show my gpx-file and i want it to have a button i can hit, the button should activate my navigator-app and show me the way.

Does it exist for android?

best regards Jocke.

Look at these

These apps might do what you want.
I have not personally used either of them but they looked close to what you were asking about.
Both are available in the play store for free.

POI-Tracker
It is a simple app that allows you to import CSV and ASC files and it will inform you if you get close to one. It doesn't say anything about GPX so you may need to convert your file to CSV. You may also be able to navigate to the POI utilizing another app like Google Maps.

Where To Go? GPS POI Finder
It looks like a more complicated system that says it is "Fully customizable. You can sort, add, remove, rename all items." The description doesn't say how to or what types of files you may be able to add.

Hope that helps.

What was the point?

I'm confused on the reason for this post. Did you think that the original poster could not do the same search as you did? Or why not just give them the URL for your search, rather than select a couple of apps that you have no first hand experience with anyway?

.

Frovingslosh,

And what is the point of your post other than to make snide remarks? The OP asked a question and rlohnes provided a possible solution. If you can't provide help than maybe you should refrain from making comments.

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

Thanks'

I was just ignoring his comments.

I found this app:

I found this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tog.along&...

It works with Kml files so i convert my gpx, it is doing the job i want but it seems to be some development to do.
I got it to cooperate with maps so i could get driving directions, but i could not make to work with sygic.
Still it needs connection to internet but i got an answer from the developer that he is in progress with offline maps and that it should be ready soon for download.

Found one

Finally i found an app worth to talk about.
Locus Map and you find it here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=menion.android... (free)

It comes in one free and one pay version, i have download an addon for it that makes it possible to show pois on the map, now it works as i want.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=menion.android...

Now i can load gpx and kml files into it and i got a map from osm that works good for offline use, and i see no reason to ever go back to the online map again.

There are other options for the map and lot of other options in general.

It cooperates good with my sygic offline navigator and it seems to work with copilot (only tested with free)
I had no luck to get it to work together with Navigator free from mapfactor.

I did not take long for me before i bought the full app. smile
