Is POI factory's red light camera app. a completely independant app? Or is it something that can be applied to Garmin Cyclops?

Does POI have to be installed separately? And if so how is that done.?

I think I downloaded the file to a folder on my PC, but I don't understand what to do with it, because I don't see any "exe" button.

POIs

The Factory's redlight and speed cameras are not associated in any way with the Garmin Cyclops file although they have a similar purpose.

This should get you started on loaded The Factory files to your 2495:

and

Two last thoughts:

The Cyclops file will stay in your nuvi until you delete it. The file name is likely USCanadaCyclopsSample.gpi in the POI folder.

If you decide to add custom audio or custom icons to The Factory's files, you will need to use wav audio files:

You could also review the replies in your earlier threads:

.

Also, POI Factory's red light camera data is not an APP.

It is a Custom POI FILE that you would load to your compatible GPS unit using Garmin's POI Loader software.

But yes, they are completely "independent" of any other data.

I have had my 3790LMT now for about 3 years and the RC still works fine in my very large city!
