I downloaded the Garmin Cyclop's trial version, and I also downloaded the POI voice alert. Will the voice alert install and function on my GPS???

Welcome to The Factory.
You can't add custom icons or audio to Cyclops but you can customize The Factory's redlight and speed camera files with icons and audio. Check this thread for links:

Note that your nuvi 2495 can only use wav audio files so mp3 files will need to be converted to wav.
POI Factory's alerts are
POI Factory's alerts are great, you can also used any voice alert you want, it does need to be in wav format. The only con to the alerts are that the file is not directional. If the intersection contains a camera, it alerts, doesn't matter if the camera is on your side or not.
