nuvi3580 POI audio alerts installation from Mac

I can't install the audio alert file from MacBook Pro to my new nuvi 3580.
Can you help me?
I included the "sox" for Mac in the POI file directory and it does't works.

Slavek

Make sure you are using wav

Make sure you are using wav file not a mp3 for voice alert. Also Mac users have reported you don't need the sox.exe for the wav files to work. Also make sure to run Poiloader in manual mode and set a distance you want for the alert.

The biggest problems with the alerts and icons not working are the files not being named the same except for extensions and having double extensions. Double-check each of them. The best way to prevent double extensions is to go to your folder options in the control panel and click view then find hide extensions for known file types and remove the check mark. Click ok. Example of proper setup
Cracker Barrel.csv
Cracker Barrel.bmp
Cracker Barrel.wav

I, too, use a MBP to load Poi, bmp's and wav's

on, in my case, a nuvi 260w. I have no problems using the Garmin programs for MBP. I do wish I could find a mac-compatible Extra Poi Editor, however; it sounds like the EPE would be a good tool to have.

charlesd45 hit the important points to check and re-check. At one point, I must have stared at a typo for several days before the light bulb went on for me that there was an extra space inserted between the name and the file type.

Good luck!!
