All's Quiet On The Eastern Front

Hi, everyone,

Well, I spent the entire morning putting everything that could be blown away....away. A news anchor this AM suggested checking the rain gutters on the house. After climbing up and taking a peek, I knew I'd be up there awhile. At this moment I've done all I can do. House is squared away, generator is primed and ready, plenty of water stockpiled, etc.

Good luck to everyone on the east coast, I'll see you next week.

I registered my sis's new Magellan, updated the software & the maps. Then I played with it a while. I think it will be perfect for her use for yard sales in Rock Island/Moline & Davenport.

You folks up and down the East Coast,

Please be in a safe place when Hurricane Irene hits landfall this weekend. Don't take any chances on the road, because cat 2 and cat 3 hurricanes can and will pick up your vehicle!

Saturday Today we complete

Today we complete the move of the art studio where I teach in the evening. Most of the heavy stuff is already moved, today I need to load up a small kiln and some misc items. Classes resume Tuesday.

Google Transit & NYC

Guess no one will be using the NYC section of the app for the next 30 hours or so. only 1 hour 45 minutes until the whole NYC transit system comes to a complete halt.

Just be careful out there! And hopefully it won't be to long before we all can say "Good Night Irene".

No Storm

We didn't have the big storm but got rain last night took out the power and looks like the power supply on my desktop. am using the laptop. Always something to keep us on our toes.
