Turning Maps on and off

Hi All,

I have a few custom maps and accessorial maps on my SD card (e.g. lakes).
Usually I turn these off under the MAP INFO area, so my search results excluded these.

My question is, does this impact the memory capacity of the Garmin 7xx at all - it appears that "activating" a mapset makes it immediately accessible, whereas I would expect a certain load time.

All maps get loaded

All maps on the SD card get loaded irrespective whether they are turned ON or OFF in Map Info. The tick marks are just to enable the maps for navigation/viewing.
