255WT Deleted favorites keep showing back up

On several ocassions, I have had favorites that I have deleted show back up in the list.
Also, I connected the unit to my.garmin.com to check for map/software updates and everything was current, but after I turned the GPS on the next day, many options had been reset and additional favorites had been added - without my approval.
Things like Garmin corporate locations, etc.
What's up with that?

Connect the unit to the computer and delete any files ending with GPX in the \Garmin\GPX folder after deleting the unwanted entries using the unit's screen.
You have a copy of the Current.GPX file which is being read when you boot up the unit.
