I cant find my gpx locations on nuvi 350

I created a route using mapquest, and did a "send to gps" from the mapquest page. I get a message that the .gpx file was successfully sent to the 350, but when I look for the route, filename, etc. I do not see it on the 350. What am I doing wrong?

No custom routes on nuvi 350.

The nuvi 350 does not support Custom Routes. You cannot import, save or recall routes on that unit from Mapquest or any other source.

Doesn't Support Routes

I have a 350 and it does not support routes. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had ordered something with this ability.

Here's what I've done, to get around that.

1.Use Mapsource to create your route.
2. Use the Waypoint Tool to create waypoints that will force the NUVI to use the route you want.
3. Name each waypoint, but I would suggest that you put a sequential number in front of each name. The names will not be displayed in sequence. They will be displayed based on the closest to the farthest. This allows you to simply find point number 2 easily after you pass point number 1.
4. Create separate files for going and returning. You might choose two different routes. In addition, you might, for example, choose your waypoint to be in the eastbound lane going, but you will be in the westbound lane returning. Needless to say, the NUVI might try to put you on an interchange so that it can backtrack to the waypoint in the opposite lane.
5. Mapsource does not include a satellite mode and you might not get the waypoint put in as accurately as you would like. I would suggest that you open the file in Extra POI Editor or Gee Pex Editor, switch to satellite view and zoom as close as you can. Then drag the waypoint to the exact point that you want, such as the Eastbound Lane.
6. If the trip is more than one day's drive, I suggest you decide which waypoint will be your stop for the night. Load this as your destination and then load waypoint 1 as a Via point. Once you pass the first Via point, you can then load waypoint 2 as the next Via point. Doing this will provide you with a continuous indication of your ETA to your motel for the night.
7. If you want to make the trip a bit more interesting, for any passengers, (especially your spouse) Mapsource allows you to go to "View-View in Google Earth". If there's a Google Street View available for the waypoint, then copy the waypoint photo and put it into a Word Document or something similar. (Personally I've had to use Print Screen to get the photo to paste properly. Copy Image doesn't seem to work for me) Make a travel book and give it to the passenger. They might have fun watching for the landmark. I would choose the Street View icon that's a little bit ahead of the actual waypoint. It tends to be more representative of what you will see just before you get there.

Good Luck. If you try this, let us know how it worked out.
