Laughing...

It took me a while to realize that the Beta version wasn't the test version.

Different terminology for different technologies I guess.

"Backward, turn backward, oh time in your flight, make me a child again, just for tonight."

Could the "Beta" file be named Redlight-Cameras.csv ?

Since that the default file name that the POI loader is loading for me. While I could rename Redlight-Cameras.wav to Redlight-Beta.wav and Redlight-Cameras.bmp to Redlight-Beta.bmp, that seems untidy.

New redlight cameras

When loading new red light cameras, and speed light cameras, should the old ones be remove, before installing the new ones or do the new new ones overwrite the old ones?

Time to try out the beta

I'll give it a try this weekend...

POI Loader replaces

POI Loader replaces the previous results of its last execution. POI Loader creates a single file which it names "poi'gpi" from all of the various POI files which were part of the directory to which you pointed POI Loader.

So, you do not need to "remove" the old file; it will be done for you automatically

Beta file, modify alert behavior?

Does anyone know if the default popup redlight alert box can be suppressed? It would be nice to just have a notice on the screen, and not have a separate box that you need to acknowledge.

Red light cameras

I sent in a few locations for the database, but unfortunately I made the mistake of buying a Maestro 4700 - which does not allow edits to POI's! What a piece of junk - I wish I never bought this thing - if I bought it local instead of online I would have taken it back - the firmware totally sucks unlike my sons 4040. I actually have to reset the map zoom every time I turn this thing on because it zooms to full every time. I can't even see any roads at that zoom!

Do NOT buy a 4700!

In that case you are

In that case you are probably going too fast for the road conditions to begin with.

its suppressed if youre

its suppressed if youre navigating on the main map screen.

No way to suppress it. If you leave it alone, it will disappear on its own. If you are displaying the map instead of the turns or other data the alert will be in the top information bar and not cover the map.
