I found the right mp3 files I want to use for my alerts. Is there a easy way to download the sounds into my Garmin?

Look on the top of this page
just under the tab labeled POI files. The blue link "getting started" will give you all the information you need to load POIs, sounds and whatever you are trying to do with your GPS.
Lots of good information located there in a clear and concise manner. Very user friendly. If you are still stuck after reading, get back to this forum and fire away with your questions. Many knowledgeable folks that are willing to assist. Good luck and happy installing.

That unit cannot use MP3 files for alerts.
You must use WAV files instead. And you must download and install SOX.EXE in the proper folder.

I have an non-intel iMac G5
I have an non-intel iMac G5 and I just download the .wav sound files to the same folder as my redlight/speed camera files and rename to match the redlight and speed camera files with the .wav extension intact. Works fine for me on my 255W
OK.....so where the heck am I?
