Thanks. I'm enjoying this POI very much. Many times if I have a few hours to kill at a truck stop, I'll check this POI out to see what's around me to check out.

***Gone***
Owner of antique store retired and sold this display to someone that plans to restore it and find it a new home. When they went to disassemble it a couple years ago, the head almost tipped over the fork lift.

The story was posted in the local paper a few years ago and it was gone when I passed by a couple days ago.

That should have been 18685 places to see!!

I just updated the file and now the count is 18871.

Added more than 186 more places to see.

I have updated the file with more places.
190 fun places to see. total count is now 19061
So Download it and have fun!!

just wanted you to know i plan my RVing around you...well not you but this lovely, fun, my life is complete, POI file. LOVE IT

Just did another Update with 145 more places to see.

I also removed some Dups that were lurking around as well as readjusted some of the coordinates to be more precise!

I just wanted to say thank you for this POI file. It has become one of the best files I have loaded on my Garmin. Now when we travel and we get a notification for an offbeat tourist attraction, we always make an effort to veer off and see it. Makes the trip that much more enjoyable.

It good to hear that people love this POI.. It is a lot of work and I do this all by myself with no help at all..

I am always on the lookout for new places and adding them. I even take photos with my phone so that I have a gps location from the photo, then I use that to add the information.

Bob, you should put those photos on a server or your Dropbox account, and then add a link to the photo as a comment or description field for the POI. That would be awesome!

Having photo's would be a great feature! You might also enlist others to help provide/take those pics.

I updated all the files, including the States.

The Total Count is now 19356. I added more than 150 more places.

The Airstream Ranch in Seffner, FL is being bulldozed to make room for of all things an Airstream Dealership and museum! Seems like this could have been kept as a draw for them...

The Aircrafts were removed from the site back in May 2011.

I have been asked by a friend why I bother with a GPS, since "my phone gives me all the directions I need - for free".

The phone WILL handle most (not all) of my navigation needs, but it does NOT supply unique POI files like this one.
