Got a 6x7 right on the colorado wyoming line on tuesday night about 6:35, big boy..... it was worth the mountian humping to get this big beast, had been hearing him for 2 days bugle, finaly got a shot at him in the timber at 31 yards!!!

Where you in the Pagosa Springs Area?

I was in Ouray the middle of September. the last 3 days I was in Colorado I got snowed on. It was snowing hard on Raton Pass when I got there.

was in GMU 161 about 25 miles from Cowdrey CO. was less than 2 miles from the wy border!

thought you were going to the south. I have never been in that area. been to estes park and over trailridge road and south towards Granby.

well this trip i put in for what i wanted and what GMU and somehow i got 161???? so i tried to make the best of it by calling around and getting info on the unit, come to find out where we were there was NO ONE ELSE there, had the run of the range sort of speak, lots of elk they weere on the move due to the amount of snow up high!! took a few days to get the pattern down but we got it done!! now next year i am headed to most likely Gmu 25-26 or 211? we will see!!
