Garmin nüvi GPS - Flagship nuvi 8x5 available, not "best of the nuvis" after all...

New Models

Hi,

I think its time Garmin stopped producing new models at an incredible rate to separate customers from their cash and focused on fixing/updating whats out there.

That would be against their corporate philosophy. They have admitted in SEC filings that they make the largest profit margin from new models. So why would they kill their cash cow?

As is so often the case we do not run businesses, they do and are making money. They make the new models because that's where the money is. If we stopped buying them they would stop making new ones so fast. Why should they stop? I am just as guilty of buying a newer model because I just have to have that new feature. Hoping to stay with the 765T for awhile...lol
