nuvi 255w Never Stops Navigation After Reaching Destination

Why doesn't it stop navigation when it reaches destination? I have a streetpilot c340 and does stop navigation when it reaches destination. I just got the nuvi 255w, but have updated to the latest software and the latest maps.

thanks,

Is it possible that the coordinates are off?You pull into the location thinking you arrived but the Gps unit hasn't gotten to the coordinates set for the custom or internal pois.

I set the location of home. Then when I get to that location, it doesn't stop navigation. The location was set by the nuvi, so it should recognize returning to that location. My streetpilot does.

Your thoughts was what I thought it was. I now think it has to be nuvi software.

Its quite possible that the "lock" wasn't good when you set the coords so the location that it set was off. I read somewhere that the accuracy of the nuvis is quite poor stopped or at low speed but gets better above 10 or 15 mph. If I were you I would reset that point some evening right when you pull into your driveway. You may get "better" coords that way.

If you set your home location in the street where you turn into your driveway, it should solve the problem. I know in my case, the snap-to-street feature kicks in as soon as I leave the street and the unit says that I am on a side street two doors from my house.

lock

I have set it on the street, but I was stopped at the time. I have tried it several different ways. Every time I key in a destination, it guides me to it, but never turns the navigation off like my streetpilot does. I think it is a problem with the software, but since no one else has the problem, it must be something else.
