IS this possible (two alert sounds for a file)

I would like to make a mp3/wav file to use on my nuvi 255w that says something like..

Rest area 2 miles ahead, then says again Rest area 1 mile ahead.

IS THIS POSSIBLE? With a car full of females while travelling i would like to have PLENTY of notice for something like this?

If possible how do i go about making this and working with poi loader

Difficult

Most things are not impossible, but is it practical. I think that you would have to make the rest area file twice, have one alert for 2 mile, and another for 1. You can't have the same alert with multiple outputs (sound bytes) that I know of.

I would NOT do this though. I think that having multiple poi alerts at the same time would be confusing to the Nuvi and listeners - as you can't silence or stop the alert until you get to the poi point. It may cause consequences to the operation of your nuvi that you don't like.

Others may have better ideas, but if you alert for 10500 feet, that is almost two miles. Normally it should repeat the warning at about a mile to go.

Like Dkeane said, the easiest way would be to duplicate the file and give one a different name like 'rest area B' and then input the appropriate alert distances.

Name the second file Area 51? That should cause all kinds of alerts.

Pretty funny but, the 51 could be perceived as speed information.
