Garmin C Series Face Plates.

I like your idea but we probably would want the same color. I am looking for a black or silver also. I would pay $5 for a single color but they don't offer it.

If anyone is interested. I was able to switch out my blue tinted C530 faceplate with a C330 faceplate. It looks much better. I simply took the faceplate to a local Best Buy and asked the associate if he could change it with the C330 floor model. They are the same size and it looks so much better. The C550 also is the same size but has a more metallic look and has Garmin written in Black as opposed to the embossing of the C330. If you're annoyed at the color, try it out.

I am sure one could paint it with Model spray paint or such.. Maybe I will buy a pack and try it with paint that I have here.. Will let anyone know how it turns out if intrested!

spray paint would get you the color you want. not to mention it'll cost less

FYI In a slightly different direction, I realized that behind the c330 faceplate, there is a reset button on the center right side of the unit. It's hard to see because it's the same color (black) as the unit itself.
