Custom POI's (how they show up on nuvi 660)

I have a nuvi 660 software version 4.40. After I load my custom poi's should they show up when I power up and then click View Map, or do I have to go to extras>custom poi's>map to see them, or is something wrong with my nuvi

You need to be zoomed in to one of the 2 highest levels (greatest detail and least area) for the icons to show up -- all 3 modes (3D, Track Up, & North Up). Just lower the antenna and set your location close to a known camera. Then go to regular map mode and zoom in. You should see it.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
