MacOS Kernel Flaw Could Allow Full-System Compromise
A researcher going by the name “Siguza” unveiled a 15-year-old security vulnerability in Apple’s macOS operating system that could allow an attacker to fully compromise the system. The researcher also published proof-of-concept zero-day code to his GitHub page.

Jacksonville to disarm all red light cameras
FYI, Jacksonville is going to disarm all redlight cameras effective 01-01-18. They claim that they do not prevent accidents.

Digmine Cryptocurrency Bot Spreads Via Facebook Messenger
The Trend Micro security company announced that it found a new cryptocurrency-mining bot, "Digmine," spreading through Facebook Messenger.
The bot first appeared in South Korea and has since spread to Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, and Venezuela. Trend Micro believes that at the rate it’s spreading, it should reach many more countries soon.

Personally, I really like reading about what you all enjoy doing over the holidays. Sometimes it gives me ideas of things I might like to try (or, in some cases, avoid).
