i brought maestro 3225,mainly for its text to speach feature at affordable cost($199 incl taxes),but poi is only 1.3 million.it came with poi editor,which enable you to save current poi on the unit to your pc and add new ones.so i guess it shouldn't be a problem to share poi among likewise units of maestro series with 6million poi(3140 etc).guess it should be in *mgln format for sharing or downloading to other units.thats my opinion and furthur comments are welcome

Am with you, I guess the same thing if they are all the same extension and the categories are the same then it should work.
To upgrade to 6 million POI
Actually, the internal 1.3 million POI file on the 3225 is named US48_POI.POI. To get the 6 million POI file, goto

and follow the directions. It is easy and it does work.

The above part is NOT true.
The editor does NOT allow you to manipulate the built-in POI file. You can not add to that file or change entries in it.
You can, however, copy that file to your PC (without using the file editor) and then replace it with something else.......as described in an earlier post.
