Coming to Boston

Going to Boston on the 4th of November, any road construction that I need to be aware of? Can I hit 90 (Mass Turnpike) and go all the way to Springfield without issues?
How much toll money will I need?
How are the speedtraps there? Do they use Instant On (IO)? What RADAR bands do they use?
Why are you taking Mass Tpk
Shortest & fastest route should take you by Hartford, CT where you can pick up I-91 straight to Springfield.
Having driven through Richmond Area to Springfield Area probably 60-70 times in the past 15 years I have my personal route favorites and they all end up going around Hartford on I-691 to I-91N
I avoid NJ TPK and NYC routing like the plague !

Flying or driving?
Are you driving from VA up? Or, flying into Logan and renting a car??
If driving, going up thru Hartford is the way to go.
If renting a car from Logan Airport ... straight out 90 to Springfield.
