Zoom in to at least the 500ft level, you will only be able to see the icon(s), when zoomed to 80, 120, 300 and 500ft.

Zoom all the way in until you can't zoom in any more. Then when you zoom out, you will find the level at which they show up.

Are you at least seeing the gray dot?

no gray dot. Only when I

Try to zoom in at 80ft. It

Try to zoom in at 80ft. It should show up.

When was the last time you updated your C330?
Check if you have the latest software. The latest software version is 5.70.

How to get to the software screen:
1. Turn unit on.
2. Click on the wrench icon. (Bottom right).
3. Click on the System button/cube.
4. Click on about (bottom of the screen).

I’m curious if the Software update has anything to do with it. Can’t hurt to upgrade the software wink.

Was your unit purchased relatively recently?

Sometimes Garmin releases firmware versions along the production of the models but with no functionality changes.

Newer units may come from the factory with 5.8 even though the latest available for download is 5.7. The reason they exist is just to support changes in the manufacturing process of these navigators. But there's no difference that the user will see.

(Thanks to apersson850 on the Zumo forum for this information.)

Ok, let's try to diagnose this step by step.

If you aren't seeing the gray dot, then it doesn't sound like the POIs loaded properly. However, in your initial post, you said that if you go to "Custom POI", it shows the image. So I'm a bit confused. Are you sure that you are zooming on the map in a location where there actually is a POI that you loaded?

I read through some previous threads, and MrKenFl indicates that the POIs should, indeed, show up on the map on that unit.

Can you describe exactly what steps you are doing? And then what is happening?

Yes, It shows up when I

Yes, It shows up when I click on Custom POIs and the image shows up! It works but If I am just on the (View Map) while im driving it doesn't show the dot at all or any image. this is the POI I am using....

thanks for your help guys hopefully we can fix this today. =(

.

Are you using the 2D or the 3D mode on the map?

2D, even in 3D it doesn't

2D, even in 3D it doesn't work!

I just installed the

I just installed the checkpoint csv file along with the bmp icon. You’re absolutely correct and I have no clue to why it not working properly. Example: the icon would show up when I select my Browse Map. When I go to my Custom POIs and click on the file, I would select one of these points, click on show map and the icon is there as well. But if I set a location near by and then drive past the checkpoint location, nothing appears. As if it doesn’t exits. I did notice the Red Light Enforcement Camera near one of these checkpoints and that showed up fine.

I also tried pulling out one of the Red Light Enforcement Camera thinking there might be an issue with a poi near by, but that didn’t help.

That makes great sense. I got my C330 last May. Thank you MM!

You are welcome bandaid.

So, do we think that the problem lies with zerolimit's csv file? I don't have my Zumo with me, so I can't test it.

zerolimit, is this happening with ALL your Custom POIs or just that file? Can you see others on the map or none at all?

From what I was able to see the file looks good. I did notice it was a three column file rather than the four column files I’ve come across mostly. But that wouldn’t make a difference, would it?
