Curious about what actually is updated on these maps?
Maybe we're all being duped and the only thing getting updated is ads on the map that clutter up the actual visible route on the display.
I've been awaiting for Garmin to introduce voice announcements for each ad "sponsored" by a company.
You know, "in 1/4 mile is a Dennys" or "in 500 feet is a McDonald's!"
And of course, there'd be no way to turn them off.

As you drive around, the display is flooded with gas station, bank, places to eat symbols on the screen that you've no way to disable..
I was just speculating that the next update might be saying things like; "in a 1/4 mile..." ad vocalization of every business...
Maybe they'll be kind enough to say, "the business in 1/4 mile has gone out of business so don't even think about stopping there!"
