ANNOUNCING SPEED AND REDLIGHT CAMERAS WITH SPEECH

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE THE GARMIN GPS ANNOUNCE THE CAMERA LOCATIONS WITH VOICE INSTEAD OF A SOUND THAT WOULD BE EASY TO INSTALL SINCE I AM NOT VERY COMPUTER SAVY,WHERE I LIVE HAS MANY CAMERAS IN STATEN ISLAND AND WITH THE TONES GOING OFF QUITE FREQUENTLY I TEND TO NOT NOTICE THEM OFTEN AND FEEL THE VOICE ANNOUNCING WOULD TAKE CARE
OF THIS PROBLEM,MAYBE IF SOMEONE WOULD GIVE THIS TO GARMIN THEY WOULD COME UP WITH A SOLUTION,
THANKS ALL

Yes

Yes, it can be done. You haven't mentioned if you're using a PC or Mac and which Garmin device you have.

To be safe, all Garmin devices can use wav voice files so aim for them rather than mp3 audio files when searching for the voice to hear. If using a Windows PC, you will need to add the sox.exe file manually to a specific folder in your PC. Macs do not need the sox file.

Here are the instructions. Read through them a few times and then ask here if you need help.

You are already well on your way there since you know how to install POI files to a Garmin device so it's only the addition of voice alerts that you need to master.

Thanks

I have forgotten about the Sox file
