I need some help here folks. I'm not the biggest computer tech head. I recently acquired a newer Garmin Nuvi from a friend who doesn't want his anymore as he uses only his smart phone now. I've uploaded all my custom POI's from this site and the Red Light Camera file without any issues.
However, I can't figure out how to get the locations in my "Favorites" from my old Garmin Nuvi to the new one. Does anyone know where the data from Favorites is stored when you hook up your Garmin to a computer. I don't see it in a folder. I use Mac btw, if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Use Garmin Express
Garmin Express will let you save your Favorites from a Garmin device to your computer, and also restore the Favorites to a different Garmin device.
As others have said, use GE
Just that it might not be intuitively obvious on how to do so.
Open Garmin Express
Open a device
Select Tools & Content
Select Utilities
Scroll down to the Transfer Favorites section

Copy the current.gpx from the GPX folder on your device. Rename it temp.gpx and put it in the GPX folder on the new device. Reboot the new device and it'll be good. Once you've confirmed your favourites are there delete temp.gpx from the device.
Where there's a will ... there's a way ... DriveSmart51LMT-S, DriveSmart50LMT-D, Nuvi 2508LMT-D, 1490LMT, 1310, Montana 650T, Etrex 20

sussamb--Thanks, I had a feeling it was the GPX folder, but I thought I'd check with the experts here first.
