currently, many bridges not update, then gps show the car crossing the lake or river then saying "recalculate" something smile

map updates

cant keep up with the new roads being put in with all the new construction going on road closers new addresses to new homes being built every thing is changing so fast and garmin doesn't make any money updating maps, I use the garmin on long trips but in town I use the gps on the phone its more up to date on street addresses . I enjoy the larger screen on the garmin and I will use it until it dies my wife still has a laugh when it says "oh chit you missed the turn " instead of recalculating

update frequency

I think maps could keep up with changes but it will be not convenient for anyone. Would you like to download 2-3 GB of new maps let say every week? And cost for them will be much higher. So that's main reason why updates are released only cople times a year, I think.
