Massachusetts to Indiana on I90

Hello im not rushing my time back-in Massachusetts but since im horrible with directions could you give me about a half way mark. I had wonderful suggestions and help setting up my Gps and gave me recommendations on were to stop for my first night coming back to Massachusetts.

Can someone please make some recommendations for hotels and were to stay for my first night going back to Indiana. Maybe in PA. I would like to get out of New York and the heavy congested area.

I will be going from Peabody, MA to South Bend, IN. I will take i90 then pickup i80 some where around cleveland ohio.

Going your route, Buffalo

Going your route, Buffalo would be the halfway point. It should be pretty easy to find the whole range of accommodations there.

Google is your friend

Google "motels along I-90 in PA" and you will get many options. There are a couple Holiday Inn Express, a Microtel, and some other decent budget places.

Side Trip

Have you ever been to Niagara Falls? You are going to be very close.

Although the US side of the Falls has been somewhat neglected, it is still a breathtaking experience to witness the power and beauty of Niagara Falls. And if you stop there, getting soaked on the "Maid of the Mist" is a "must do" activity! smile Also some good scenery and great winery's in the Finger Lakes region.

Yes, Yes, if you are close go

If you are close go to Niagara Falls.
My husband took me there for my 70th birthday.
We were there for about 10 days and visited both sides and some out areas. It is something to see.

Unless the OP has the proper documents, and he likely doesn't, he can't enter Canada and will only be able to view the US side.

There USA side is fine

There are still plenty of rather awesome sights to see on the USA side, in a casual way. And there is rather impressive history of electrification in the area. If the OP wants to do a little research, he can see plenty in a little time, all on the USA side.

True but ...

You can board the "Maid of the Mist" boat on the US side and view the Canadian Falls (from below of course) since you don't disembark in Canada.

I agree ...

I haven't been in a couple of decades, but it was quite impressive!

Waterfall

Hi Diesel...I went to Niagra Falls when I was a lot younger (aka 13 years old) when my parents moved from Massachusetts to Ohio. Maybe we can look at going there on the way back as It just depends on my back and knee.

I messed up my back pretty bad yesterday when my knee buckled and I went down hard on the ground.

Thank you all for your suggestions and comments. I will try to go there but just depends on the back. One week was just not enough to do everything that I wanted to do. My main priority was to get my mother buried in Malden, MA and to pay the funeral home and burial costs. Because all the money I had to payout I was only able to stay one week which was not enough time to do everything I wanted to so.

Needs a passport or enhanced ID

I'm dealing with that now in setting up a trip to Fort George Canada for my Scouts, Leaders, and Parents.
