Google Maps Leads 100 Drivers to Field of Mud

Drivers using Google Maps to navigate to Denver International Airport were led to a field of mud:

I was on Peña Boulevard only two months ago, using Google Maps to navigate!

Change it to One Person

Change it to One Person followed iPhone Map onto a farmer's gravel road in NC
and you have what happened to us!!!

We could see the house we were trying to get to.... Across the field..... but that gravel road was farmer's that was headed toward his open field!

We stopped at hilltop just prior to his farmhouse...

All the while I'm asking wife: Is the Maps Program certain this is it?

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

Denver airport is so far out

Denver airport is so far out in the wilds, that I often wondered if I was on the right track, especially at night.

I never get lost, but I do explore new territory every now and then.

Is a paper map any better?

1.) By the time it gets into YOUR hands it is about 2 years old and that is the newest version.

2.) Paper maps do not and never ever had great detail except in a town or city, certainly not out in the boonies.

3.) Glad that Garmin is not blamed !
