My iPhone...

...updated to iOS 12.2 while I napped.

No problems apparent.

macOS...

...often updates at about the same time as iOS, so I went looking.

I just updated my 15", mid 2012 MBP Unibody to 10.14.4 with no apparent problems.

Security Fixes

Coming from being a security person, there's 51 security patches and fixes in this and is highly recommended to upgrade over prior point releases.

Without a Hitch

No problems updating my X or my wife's 6s. Required for using the new AirPods 2.

The phone has to be Locked,

The phone has to be Locked, on WIF!, and charging to auto update.

Updated a couple of weeks back

iPhone 6S, 32GB. For once I actually saw some improvement over the prior 11.x code.
