Is it me, or does it seem with this new map that you get less time/distance of a warning before having to make a turn ?
...but I'll pay closer attention next time I use my GPS to see if that's the case on my unit. So far I've only used the new map a few times since it's release.
As I live in the eastern side of "The Valley of the Sun" and if I drive an average 65-70 mph it takes me about 36 minutes to get anywhere therefore I notice upcoming turns alerts.
I have many times compared Garmin to my in dash GPS for turns and now the Garmin is much faster in telling of upcoming turns by about a quarter mile. On US 60 at 70mph it is about 1 mile in advance with the JCV file.
it looks like MapUpdater really is history now - Dead.
Well, it looks like MapUpdater really is history now. Never before has Garmin waited anywhere near this long before putting their latest map update on MapUpdater. The 2019.30 map is not available on MapUpdater. Therefore, I have to presume that MapUpdater really is dead.

Finally got around to updating my sister's and my 1450s. Everything went swimmingly, including installing the large JCV file. The things that took longest were the backups of the 1450s. Seemed to take forever. The actual download went fairly quickly.

Is it me.... or doe sit seem like when driving to a destination, there is less time/distance given before you are warned to "Turn" ahead ?
I thought I used to have more of a warning distance.
