Where do I look for favorites

Will need to get a new GPS. I know that I can transfer my current "Favorites" to the new GPS. I also don't remember how to do it. I believe that they are in a hidden file whose name I don't recall. I also have forgotten how to show the hidden files on a Mac running High Sierra. Heck of a situation. Terrible what ld age does. Can any one help me out? I have tried to formulate a search question with no success. Thanks for any help.

Well ...

Not sure about hidden files on a mac sad

Note in any case Express will copy favourites from one device to another. Favourites though are contained in an unhidden folder named GPX and the file is current.gpx

In the Terminal,

In the Terminal, paste;

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE;killall Finder
Hit return.

If they don't show, then hold Option and Right Click the Finder Icon and click Relaunch. Leave the Terminal running, you will need it again.

When you are finished, in Terminal hit the UP key and the last command will shot, change TRUE to FALSE and hit Return.

Again, do the Relaunch thing if the files don't get hidden.
