•Removed Garmin Cloud Drive support
•Removed Garmin Connect find and upload
•Removed Picassa photo sharing
Just be aware that apparently, and not mentioned in the changelog, the link to Google Earth has been removed. As that's a feature I use all the time I don't intend to 'upgrade'!
updated on my Windows 10 machines and working well with my existing routes. I have a few new routes to plan tomorrow and will report back if any problems encountered.
Should anyone need to revert because of losing the link to Google Earth or any other reason you can get previous versions here http://gawisp.com/perry/mapsource/
I exported a trip created in version 4.7.0 as a .kml file and imported it into Google Earth Pro. It copied my route over just like the old embedded link did and allowed me to fly my route. It may not be as easy as before, but the functionality I use is not lost.
Which version will allow you to launch Google Earth from within BaseCamp?
Currently has to be a 32 bit version. Garmin say they will be updating BC to 64 bit later this year, but whether the view in Google Earth option will be included I have no idea. I'll be sticking with 4.6.2 as it works for me
GE link has been removed from the Version 4.7.0 (4.7.0) for Mac. Still 32 bit. 64 bit coming.
Will try to update tonight.
I thought that upgrades were to improve something, not remove functionality. I sure miss the link to Google Hearth.
