I was talking to someone who asked me this yesterday.......

Garmin

Garmin released a new version of Garmin Express today (v5.7.0.0) which in the past has been a sign that the map update is imminent. Watch for it on Wednesday or Thursday.

It's getting very close

When looking at the release date history for Garmin maps, created & maintained by this weeks COW (Thanks John smile ) & statistically speaking, I'm expecting the map update next week on Thursday October 5th.

Had friends from IL here this week... They pointed out to me that I could avoid the switchbacks by taking the upper entrance to Crystal Tree....

Showed them how 'upper exit' to Ned's Cove Road is a grove of trees, that becomes impassable.... And asked them if I should continue on..........

"When did this happen" Says they.....

"1995 or earlier, I'm not certain" Was the reply.....

I've a vested interest in the next map upgrade......
