Hi all
It's my first post. I have Garmin in dash Honda CRV 2017 Touring (Canada). How can I load custom voice alerts for Red light camera, speed camera and enable proximity alerts.
I was using Nuvicam earlier for my old car in which I changed the region to UK which enabled proximity alerts.
I am struggling to do same but I guess there is no such option to change region in Garmin-Honda.
Can some one please help!
see mgarledge's FAQ
I don't know whether this is the same GPS as yours, but take a look at mgarledge's FAQ for the Honda Accord:

There is also metricman's list of car manufacturers and links for updating:

Honda Garmin & POIs
If your CRV is anything like the Garmin Nav in my 2017 Honda Ridgeline it is one "watered down" Garmin system and there is no way to upload any POIs, or any custom alerts to the in-dash system. The Honda Accord method will not work. The head unit is running under an old version of Android to boot. Best I have been able to do is transfer in some custom voices from my Nuvi and a few vehicles.

New info
In a recent thread on this site, I just found that proximity alerts for POI files such as red light and speed cameras can run on an Android phone using Google Maps and navigation, and possibly Waze:

Credit goes to charlesd45.
The 2017 Honda CRV audio system display includes Android Auto that interfaces with the phone using a USB cable. The navigation runs on the phone and is displayed on the car audio display. The car touchscreen can be used and the car listens for Android voice commands using a button on the steering wheel.
The apps needed are the POI Loader app and Radardroid app, both available at the Play Store. For non-members of POI Factory, the POI Factory app is also needed from the Play Store.

This is interesting and deserves more research.
I just bought a 2019 Honda Pilot with the Nav system and was hoping to be able to load my own poi's and alerts into the system.
