Possible to load Redlight and Speed camera POIs on an Android Auto smartphone app?

Does anyone know of a way to load the Redlight Cameras POI files on an Android Auto compatible smartphone map app e.g. Google Maps, Waze etc?

If so, pointers to the app and instructions on how to load the POI data would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I use to use Mapfactor offline maps before changing over to Here Maps .Mapfactor should give you what you are asking for. Cameras are included, plus in the past I installed POI Factory cameras. See https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mapfactor.... .Also there are android apps for cameras.Just type in redlight cameras on Google Play.I have the Radardroid app. See https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ventel.and...
You may also want to look at poi loader https://play.google.com/store/search?q=poi%20loader and
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ventel.and... .Should be familiar with this last one. POI Factory has a app with cameras.

Thanks Charles. There's a fount of information there to check out. Based on a quick first look the permissions required by Mapfactor appear considerably less intrusive than Waze & Google.

I was aware of the POI Factory camera list, I use it on my Garmin, but I wasn't aware there was an app here to use them on a smartphone? Could you tell me where I could find that on here, as I'd prefer to use the POI files because I know they're a trusted source, accurate for my region, and easily updated.

P.S. Appear to have written too soon. It looks like Radardroid is the app you mean?

Me neither

Yes Radardroid is the app. Files on POI Factory can be used on Mapfactor. Just some difference in loading them compared to Garmin. Check out the forum http://forum.mapfactor.com/discussions/popular .Radardroid can also use POI Factory Red light and speed camera files. At least on the version I am using. The POI factory app for cameras has been around for a while. I discovered it some time back and check with site to verify it. Not sure why it is not posted on here,

Just to clarify. For POI Factory members who have access to the camera files. The POI Factory app is not needed. Once you install the Radardroid app you will have the ability to import from SD card. What I did was send the Red Light and Speed Cameras files from POI Factory to my self from my computer. Opened up the email on my Android device and downloaded them. Once installed to the device.I open up Radardroid and then touched the Speedtraps icon. Clicked on Import from SD card. Then located where I put the POI Factory camera files and loaded them to device. Went back and deleted the pre installed files .Leaving only my POI Factory camera files.

Once installed go into warning setting and warning distance and set to your preference.

Also another handy app is Automate. The good thing about this one is you can use the Here Off Line maps and control of the app through voice commands for navigation, music, and more. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitspice.a...

RadarDroid is legit.

When GPS POI US was closing down their business back in 2012, they contacted POI Factory and arranged for us to continue support for their customers. That's how we became associated with Ventero Tel and their Android app.

POI Factory still supplies content for the "Premium US Radardroid Database" Android app, which is published by Ventero Tel.

Thanks JM

Thanks for the explanation and clarification. We all know the POI Factory content is the real treasure. It is great that the RadarDroid app provides this valuable content to Android customers.

I was completely unaware of that. Every time I turn around, I learn something new about POI Factory.
