4th line Format

Hi I was wanting to update one of my poi's by adding a 4th line that will contain the Address, City, State and Zip.
I'm not sure if it should drop to a second line or not.
Is this the correct format?

?

It did on mine
My 330 didn't like the ; so I'd keep it out.

The new Beta, is the best at getting the lines just right.
Thats one feature that really works good on it.

I did find one problem that I'll have to get with JM on.

Sounds good then....

Sounds good then....
If you found a method that works, I'm going to
use it... I have a 340 so if you had issues with
the ; then I know I will too. thanks for the help.....

4th column

If you're using Notepad or WordPad, you can enclose the field data in quotation marks and then use the enter key to insert a line break at the appropriate spot.

Garmin CSV Format

FYI: The POI database module does this automatically. If you're starting a new file from scratch, I can set you up with a POI type using the beta version of this new tool.

Hi JM..... Unfortunately

Hi JM.....

Unfortunately this is a file that I have been working on
and adding to. I uploaded it to the POI Factory not to long ago. I was going to add the Address, City, State, and Zip to the file. I made the file using Excel (.csv) and Excel seems to do pretty well.

With Excel, will I have to hit enter to go to a second line or just put " " to break lines?

This is what I would like it to do

line breaks in Excel

I'm pretty sure you can press ALT-ENTER to insert a new line while typing data into a cell.

Also, Excel automatically adds quotation marks when you save as CSV, so don't enter them yourself!
