Thanks to all those who maintain Garmin POI files

Jeese, just noticed I've been a member more than 8 years ... which means 8 years of logging on daily (or more) to check for updates to POI files.

I admit it. I'm addicted to POI files and this site.

I follow a number of POI files ... and while I've contributed a few updates or corrections to those brave souls who MAINTAIN the files, I've never had the time or talent or courage to sign on to maintain a POI file.

I guess what I'm trying to say is ... thanks to those of you who regularly maintain the POI files I follow.

I'm not going to name those folks, but I gotta say, it makes my day to log on and see an update to a Garmin POI file.

My wife often asks "Why?" do I log on daily to look for updates ... particularly if we are not hitting the road in our RV for months.

I can't explain it. But I know this ... I gotta check for updates ... and don't take the time to thank those who faithfully and regularly maintain and update the files.

I too lack the talent and courage to maintain a POI file. But really want to thank those that do and keep my favorite POI's updated.

Congrats & Thanks....

And I will bet that if you ask...

And I will bet that if you ask...one of the folks on here to create a POI file that your looking for, they will be glad to do it.

I know that I am one of the people that would help with a new poi for the asking. There are many POI files here which makes it great place but I am sure there is always that "special" file that someone really could use.

But yes, for everyone that keeps there POI file up-to-date, A BIG thank you!
