Microsoft introduced Windows 10 on September 30. Technical preview is now available for download at http://preview.windows.com
This is not what I have been reading.
There will be NO Windows 9.
Going straight to Windows 10.
If u have other info please point to link.
Seems to work fine on Windows 10...
I think I will wait at least a year after it comes out.
Do I do it? I have Windows 7. What are the latest thoughts from anyone who has tried Windows 10 Beta?
Maybe I'll just stick with my trusty XP and forget all the hype of of some "better" operating system.
For the majority of windows 7 and 8 users the upgrade to windows 10 will be free. Microsoft is adopting a similar program for operating system updates that Apple has been using with free updates and a operating system that is useable on multiple hardware types.
The consensus is to wait for the release rather than download the Beta.
If anyone wants to try it out without taking a chance on messing up there PC.This may be the best way http://goo.gl/HFkkY5
I think I will wait for the program to be released.
I will do a search and see if I can see any preview videos on Windows 10.
Thanks for all your help and thoughts.
I just watched a couple of Windows 10 reviews on YouTube.
It looks like it might be very nice.
On one of the reviewers it was suggested that you do not put the preview Windows 10 on any computer that your are using as your main computer. They said it might be hard to upgrade from the preview version to the final Windows 10. They also said it might be hard to revert back to your present Windows version. They recommend the program that was mention earlier in this post, VirtualBoxas, a way to preview Windows 10.
After wading through several videos I found two that were very informative.
for the official release of Windows 10 me thinks, looks interesting, took me a while to get used to 8.
CNET talks like Windows 10 is gonna be good...so far
I hope to be able to get rid of classic shell that I use to get around in 8.1.
I bought Windows 8 when it first came out as it was only 20 or 30 bucks or so. Put it on my computer for about 1/2 hour and immediately dumped it for my image of Windows 7 that I had saved. Will wait quite awhile if ever to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
