I dont know why you arent getting the map. I just got done doing the new install.. works great so far.

Are we there yet?

Yahoo Maps and Here.com have the map uploaded on the servers, so you can see what changes have been made in the new map.

Would be nice if 2015.20 was out before then, but I doubt it will be...

I've had my Nuvi 3597 less than 24 hours. Had some problems and I'm not going to throw a new map update at it until everything seems to work. Have fun early adopters!

93 days until my next cruise. Which will come first? (I'm guessing the cruise...)

I started the update process at 8:25 am - it is now 10.18 am Mountain time and GE estimates 3 hours remaining.

Not sure about what your internet connection speed is but I started my update at 8:30am PDT and have an estimated 25 Minutes remaining at 9:35am. So it looks like an hour and a half for the download. I have a 15GB DSL connection.

I am using Map Updater on a clone of my 3597. The download has been running for over an hour with 15 minutes remaining. In past updates, I have been able to do the entire download/update process in less than an hour, so it is definitely going slower than usual.

Going to try the download now! Hope it goes smoothly.

Actual download time was 1 hour and 20 minutes. It's now "Preparing Maps".

I'm using MapUpdater and the clone method and it's probably the fastest download I've seen. Weird how it's different for different people.

5 minutes to prepare and it's now installing the maps to my SD card.

Download servers are probably getting slammed right now. Only downloading ~200k/sec right now.

Mine finished about 5 minutes ago ... took about 80 minutes total for install to both computer and cloned card.

Interestingly, Map Updager 3.3.3 replaced the gmapdem.img file instead of just removing it like last time. But it didn't name it correctly, giving the new file the name D2248000B.img. The gmapprom.img file grew in size from 2,274,880 KB to 2,312,576 KB.

I don't see any major problems on the clone copy, so I guess I will try copying the new files over to the 3597 and do a little testing.

Like some, I will wait to see how it goes and servers are not so busy.
