Downloaded 2014.4 to SD card - have some cleanup questions
OK, I just downloaded and installed the 2014.40 map to the (16G) SD card I have for my Zumo 660.
1. the .img file is 1,972,288 KB
2. I also got GMAP3D.IMG and GMAP3D.unl files, as well as a JCV folder (which were not in the instructions). I have similar files on the Zumo. When I look at the map info on the GPS, I see 2014.3, 2014.4, but I only see 2014.3 for 3D.
Qa. - Should I replace the files on the Zumo with these files? or
Qb. - Should I rename these files on the SD card to something else? or
Qc. - Should I remove (all?) the map files on the Zumo?
Since I have 1Gb left of the 4Gb space on the Zumo, I'm planning to leave them there (should something happen to the SD card). And I rarely use 3D.
3. I am assuming that I should at least 'un-check' the 2014.3 maps in map info so that I am just using the 2014.4 versions.
Qd. - Is that Correct?
Anything else I should consider?

Anything else I should consider?
Only that 2015.10 will probably be available for download next week, or the week after.

Finally downloaded and updated but took 3 hrs to finish.
My wi-fi connection at this
My wi-fi connection at this hotel is horrible. Will probably take all day long.
I'll be keeping any open.

Amazing - Download Took Less Than Hour
I used an SD card plugged directly into the computer. I received an unexpected "error" message that my device, a Nuvi650 was limited to 2 GB (but then I am using an SD card and not the actual device.) The SD card can hold up to 8 GB. First time that I received that message. Anyway, I got what I wanted, Canada and the US.
Based on Murphy's Law, since the download went so well, something must be wrong!!!

Nuvi 650
@Steve R. ... As you discovered, the nuvi 650 can accept larger SD cards, but it can only accept files of 2 GB or less. Since the full NA map is now larger than 2 GB, you would not be able to install it as a single file for your nuvi 650. If you would like to have the full NA map, you can install some regions (such as Lower 49) to internal memory, then install the remaining regions to the SD card as a separate file. The nuvi will treat it as a single map even though it is split into 2 files.
