I have a Nuvi 680. I updated the Red Light Camera database using the POI Loader. Do I have to unload the previous Red Light Camera file I loaded, or does the new one replace the old one? I'd hate to have redundancy in there!
All inclusive

The newest red light file is all inclusive, only need the latest file. Unless you changed the name of the old file on the GPS (explained elsewhere on this website), the new file will replace the GPS's old file.

I see the deal: you have to
I see the deal: you have to reload all POIs whenever you add one (and they said I was dumb!)

If you have a GPS which displays as a hard drive on your computer and if you rename the file on the GPS, then you don't have to.
You can upload the red light file to your gps and it will be in the 'Garmin\Poi' folder as 'poi.gpi'. You can then rename this file as 'Red_Light.gpi'. Now upload another POI file to your GPS and it will be the 'poi.gpi' file. Rename this file to 'whatever.gpi' and you're ready to upload another POI file, all without replacing the previous file.

Loading POI's
I have a Garmin c340 and I have all my POI's in separate files under their names in MY Documents on my computer. I erase an old red light camera and load the new one and then I use the POI loader to upload all the csv files listed in My Documents. If a file gets updated, I erase old one and the new file will replace it. Hope this could help.
