2595LMT Review

So far I can't say that I am thrilled with the 2595LMT. the 8 million POIs have already proven to be way off in actual location. The other complaint is that steering off the suggested path doesn't get a renewed path on the LMT. The old 660 seems niftier in these regards. I expected a little more for the money. ,artin

I Don't

Have any problem with mind. When my wife and I are on a trip she will keep and eye on the 2595LMT to see that I stay on the route and check for places to eat or take a break I use a 3590LMT.

Mine sent me off to

Mine sent me off to erroneous addresses for both a WalGreens and a Braums, which I already knew the locations of both. The POIs are way off sometimes. Not getting a re-painted, redirected path after purposely diverting away from the calculated trip path, is just bad electronic navigation. I test all my new GPS units from the get-go.

No issues

I have had mine for approx 18 months now and have not experienced the problems you are reporting. I don't really work the POI's very hard, but when I have been in an unfamiliar town and looked for a Dunkin Donuts, Subway etc. it usually directs me to the location accurately. With routing, my unit seems to insist I get back on the suggested route when I divert to the point where it can get so annoying I'll cancel the route and re-enter.

Mine actually re-mapped

Mine actually re-mapped today after dropping my map details setting to normal instead of high, but I don't know if that was key...the 2595 has tons of built in memory so a high setting shoulda been fine. The 660 never had a problem with remapping. I just thought the 2595 would have out stepped the 660 in all navigation features. martin
