Still waiting on ICS

I have a HTC Droid Incredible 2. We're still waiting on the Ice Cream Sandwich update. My phone will never get Jelly Bean.

(Supposed to get ICS sometime this year though.)

upgrades

We've been trained to eagerly anticipate upgrades. Let's face it, they're selling points.

Well, my razr maxx got the ICS upgrade. There are many things that are annoying, if the old OS did it, but the new doesn't. Now, I show as available to anyone on gmail--have to go and manual sign it out, only to find if the phone reboots, singed back in. Bluetooth automatically pairs on all 3 cars. Now, on one, it's a manual process.

I understand there are bugs, but it should be all about the end user. You can't expect them to say it's ok that stuff isn't working, that worked before. my .02 with all this rush to get things out nowadays....it's all good. smile

Got Jelly Bean Today

Google is rolling out upgrades to Nexus S phones here in Canada. Got mine this afternoon

Pleasantly surprised that the Garmin Smartphone Link app works on Jelly Bean smile

JB 4.1.1

Got mine as well.

The 'Butter' project is smoother than the ICS build. Some nice transitions, and it's faster by seat-of-the-pants evaluation.

Had some fun with Google Now as well. Pretty good speech recognition abilities, I'd say. A natural sound in the NA English accent.

A very nice minor upgrade from ICS.

Me too got jelly bean today

Picked up my first Android device Google Nexus7 (the only one left in the local stores for a while)

I'm as happy as a kid in a candy store (no pun intended)

As excited as I was in 1976 when I bought my first RS Model I

Jelly Bean on the Samsung Nexus phone

My son installed Jelly Bean on his phone last Sunday. He said that it broke some of his apps, but that it was an improvement over ICS on balance.

With best wishes,

Broken apps

Interesting. Most of my apps have had updates for the JB OS for the last few weeks now, or, they didn't need it as of yet.

I only have about 10-15 apps that I use, though.

To put things in perspective

I may have unintentionally given the impression that my son saw a larger impact than he really did. There was no problem with the vast majority of his apps, just with a few of them - although one of those was one of his favorite utilities.
