Unable to convert wav files to a proper format is what I got after DL POI. I have the unzip sox.exe(application) file in my garmin file.

I meant from an mp3 to a wav.

Make sure sox.exe is in the same location as poiloader.On the 2.61 poiloader the location changed.In my case for XP it is click c drive,program files,Garmin and click poiloader folder and put it there.

We must have been typing at same time see my post above your last one also You can make your own wav files by going to http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php and typing in what you want it to say or use a program to convert mp3 files to wav. When using the conversion it must be saved as PCM, 44.100 kHZ., 16 bit, Mono. Wav files are also on site for download.

my 2360 is not recognizing wav files

The unit will play wav files.Many members on here has done this with the same model.What windows are you using and what version poiloader?

261 windows vista 64bits, I don't doubt that this unit should play wav files but I'm getting the error I posted before.

Using the outlined I used above for xp.Go to My Computer then your main drive and go to program files then the Garmin folder and click on it.Do you see a folder called poiloader if yes click on it.That is where the sox.exe unzipped goes.Based on one of your post did you move the location?

My experience with POILoader is that it gave me no choice as to where it would install, but installed itself in C:\program files\Garmin\POILoader.

I think I got it, no error will try it out soon will let u know if it worked.
