Trip to Europe

I'm off to Florida, then by Trans Atlantic cruise on the NCL Epic to the Azores and Barcelona.

I'm looking forward to using my 3790LMT and the Barcelona cityXplorer map to see how navigating on foot and via metro works out. I'll also use the GPS to keep track of the ships course, ready to inform the Captain in case he accidently strays from the proper track.

I'll be back in three weeks -- unless the Captain throws me overboard. wink

Installed New Mount for my Nuvi 2460 Today

I decided I had a blank panel just right of the gauage cluster on my F250 so I added a permanent mount point for my new 2460. No more suction cups letting loose or bean bags. I bought an Arkon adapter plate and screwed it fast and slid on the Garmin ball. I can order other adapters to slide on if I want to hang something different in the future. Looks great and the 2460 can quickly be removed when needed. Bonus is if I'm not using that heavy cord for the trafic receiver it is a short run to plug in so I can use one of those short 12" right angle USB cables.

Jim...

Happy Monday

New Max Speed - 615 mph

Just got back from Kauai yesterday. I had a window seat and had the Nuvi locked in on the plane. It logged 615 mph as the max speed on the trip over. My previous best was 606 mph on a trip to NC.
