Pine Street has been very honest, fair and accommodating. They have tended to my 2002 VW Eurovan Camper. Parts can be very expensive and I've even shopped for my own and gave them to the mechanics because they said their prices plus markup would be a lot higher. If I had to rely on the VW dealer for repairs and general maintenance...yikes!

I've taken my US Autos to them as well.

My wife and I have been going to this shop since we have owned our Honda CRX, Mazda Protege, Mazda MX-6 etc. We feel comfortable with them and they have fair prices and even better work.

They specialize in only Hondas and Acuras. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They also use OEM parts for all repairs that they do. Prices are way cheaper than dealers and they do a great job really fast! Will also not recommend unnecessary repairs that dealers may try to tack on.

this is my Dads shop, so I'm a bit biased. but if you're near western IL University you wont find a more honest/better priced mechanic. the shop is attached to their house, but its a fully working shop. he can also work with you on strange situations, like if you want to buy your own parts and just pay labor, or work out a payment plan. i think he also takes paypal.

I have all GM and only deal with this dealer, they are the best and don't rip you off.

Well, I recently had the pleasure to have my car serviced at LeSeuer Car, and can't be more satisfied. My experience compared to that of the local dealers was like night and day!

They have been in business for 32 years and offer very reasonable prices on parts and labor, and they even welcome bringing your own parts!

Most importantly, their technicians are skilled and seem to be in for the long run (as opposed to the dealers, where you see people get hired when you get there and quit by the time you pick up your vehicle).

My car was worked on by Rob, who appears on their site as an "ASE Certified Master Technician, specializing in Audi". He is very knowledgeable in the work I requested and even advised against doing some repairs that I thought were needed, which saved me even more. Here's their info:

Although they specialize in Audi and VW, I would still give them a call for other brands. It's worth it! After all, Audi/VW trusts them to perform work on safety recalls, and so should you.

I could fill a file with places to avoid...they're far too common.

I am apprehenisve about making any additions to such a file. There are few trustworthy shops out there and lots of incompetent "mechanics" misdiagnosing.

These guys are generalists and a MA inspection station. They appear to work on just about anything - foreign, domestic, new or old...it doesn't seem to matter. And I've seen some $$$ hardware parked in their lot. This is one busy location. I've had very good luck with them.
